In support of this new way of doing business, Zuora provides an online subscription billing and management platform, delivered via a SaaS model, for companies to build, run, and operate their subscription and recurring revenue businesses. Our subscription management platform allows you to focus on top-line revenue growth, operational efficiency, and automation. Zuora provides this service to any business that has a subscription and/or recurring revenue model including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Web 2.0, Cloud Computing, and traditional enterprises that offer recurring revenue products and services.

Zuora offers the Z-Commerce Platform, which includes Z-Billing and Z-Payments, the first and only complete billing solutions created specifically to help companies build, manage, and grow their subscription business. Z-Billing and Z-Payments make it easy for you to quickly launch new products, scale operations, and automate recurring billing and subscription payments.

If you have programming abilities, you can automate many of the Z-Billing and Z-Payments tasks by using the Z-Commerce Platform API.

Billing and Payments

Z-Billing and Z-Payments are Web-based applications that connect to the Z-Commerce platform. The Z-Commerce platform is the powerful engine that drives all customer account, product catalog, subscription, billing, and payment operations.

  • Using Z-Billing, you can manage customer accounts and create and manage your subscriptions. You can launch new products to market quickly, scale operations, and gain full visibility into the metrics that drive your subscription business. Because Z-Billing provides a single source for all customer subscription data, your subscription business can grow in scale with each new customer. 
  • Using Z-Payments, you can create and manage invoices and billing. With Z-Payments, you can manage the entire recurring payment life cycle for your subscription business. With Z-Payments, your subscription business can accept any form of payment, automate exception handling, reduce billing and payment disputes, and shorten collection cycles. 

Z-Tax

Zuora's Z-Tax taxation module is a premium feature that allows you to identify which charges within your product catalog are taxable, calculate taxes based on granular sold to address details, and specify which customers are tax exempt.

Z-Reporting

Z-Reporting makes it easy to monitor your subscription business with reports that give you real-time access to critical billing and payments data. No programming or database knowledge is required. You can run standard shared reports that have already been created, modify an existing shared report and save as a private report, or you can create customized reports from scratch and access just the information you need.

Commerce

If you use Salesforce.com, the worldwide leader in on-demand CRM services, to manage your vital customer and sales data, you can use Z-Force to manage your recurring billing, online payments, and subscriptions in Salesforce as well. Z-Force fully integrates Z-Billing and Z-Payments with Salesforce.com. With Z-Force, you can sell subscriptions online or through your sales team, improve subscription renewals and up-sells, and service those customers all in one place.

Z-Force is a 100% native Force.com application with the following modules:

  • Z-Force 360: Makes all customer subscription, billing, and payment data visible within Salesforce for a 360 degree view of the customer and up-to-date metrics for your subscription business.
  • Z-Force Quotes: With Z-Force Quotes, your sales teams can easily build customer-ready quotes based on your subscription catalog. Approved quotes are automatically pushed into the billing system for end-to-end billing and subscription management.

Finance

Z-Suite is a tightly-coupled solution that leverages the core capabilities of both the Zuora and NetSuite applications. NetSuite is hosted ERP system, and Zuora connects to it as an accounting system in a CRM capacity. This solution is a pre-defined, out-of-the-box integration that synchronizes transactions between the two applications. Zuora provides Z-Suite customers with an integration console in the Z-Billing user interface which is used to set up the integration, control and monitor the synchronization of data, and view any error or success logs from the synchronization.

Integrating Zuora with NetSuite allows you to use Zuora's applications to:

  • Manage complex pricing and packaging models
  • Align charges with existing subscriptions
  • Consolidate billing
  • Streamline renewal patterns

Z-Commerce API Platform

The Z-Commerce API Platform provides programming calls and objects. Using the Z-Commerce API, developers can create their own custom Web applications that can use a broad range of the Z-Commerce features. For example, you could create a custom application that has the same look and feel as your Web site, while making it possible for your customers to enter, edit, and view their account information.

The Z-Commerce API Platform offers many other possibilities. For example, you can easily integrate your applications and back-office systems with Zuora. In addition, you can create programs for doing much of what is done in the Z-Billing and Z-Payment applications, such as creating and managing customer accounts, subscriptions, and invoices, with more capabilities being added all the time.
