Overview

Z-Force is Zuora's native Force.com application that integrates your Salesforce CRM implementation with Zuora.

Z-Force Features

Z-Force is designed to help your front-line employees use their Salesforce CRM accounts to create new subscription quotes and orders, up-sell and cross-sell new products, make subscription adjustments, and keep your customers renewing. And it's all seamlessly integrated with Zuora's powerful Z-Billing and Z-Payments back-office applications. So, everything flows through to billing and payment operations, and you have access to key end-to-end metrics like Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and Total Customer Value (TCV).

If you use Salesforce.com to manage your vital customer and sales data, you can use Z-Force to manage your recurring billing, online payments, and subscriptions in Salesforce as well. Z-Force fully integrates Z-Billing and Z-Payments with Salesforce.com. With Z-Force, you can sell subscriptions online or through your sales team, improve subscription renewals and up-sells, and service those customers all in one place.

Z-Force Quotes

Z-Force Quotes provides key functionality to create subscriptions, amendments and renewals. It is also used to sync the product catalog between the Zuora back-office and Salesforce.

Z-Force 360

Z-Force 360 syncs accounts, subscriptions, invoices, and other objects from Zuora to Salesforce.

Z-Force 360 makes all customer subscription, billing, and payment data visible within Salesforce for a 360-degree view of the customer and up-to-date metrics for your subscription business.

Z-Force Builder

Z-Force Builder contains two components: Order Builder and Component Library.

Order Builder is the first Subscription Quote-to-Renewal toolkit for Force.com developers and ISVs to monetize subscription businesses built on the Force.com Platform. See Order Builder for more information.

With Component Library, you can create a completely customized Order-to-Cash process in Salesforce and Zuora, with a minimal programming effort. See the Component Library Developer's Guide for information.

Quick Start Tutorial

The Z-Force Quick Start Tutorial video introduces you to Z-Force, and shows you how to use Z-Force to manage your subscriptions.

The quick start tutorial describes how to perform the following tasks:

  • Create a quote using the Zuora product catalog
  • Push a quote to Zuora to prepare for invoicing
  • Make your subscription information available in Salesforce

Storage and Governor Limits in Salesforce

When using Z-Force, you'll need to keep in mind the storage and governor limits in Salesforce if you're planning on sending a high volume of quotes.

Force.com has an API access limit of 1000 calls per user license per day. Each Salesforce.com sync consumes a minimum of 4 to 8 API calls based on the number of object types that need to be synced, and 1 additional API call per 200 records.

For example:

  • If a sync session has 1000 billing accounts, 1000 subscriptions, 1000 subscription components, and 1000 invoices to sync, it will consume approximately 8 + (1000/200) + (1000/200) + (1000/200) + (1000/200) = 28 API calls.
  • If an on-demand sync session has to sync 1 billing account, it will consume 4 calls.

Your usage depends on the number of times you want to sync and how many user licenses your Salesforce.com org has. See the Salesforce.com edition data sheet to determine which edition will fit your requirements.
