Overview
Customers often complain that they haven’t received an invoice. And the question you have is, “How do I know that the invoice I emailed from Zuora was actually sent?
Solution
To find out if and when an invoice was sent:
- Navigate to an Invoice.
- Scroll to the bottom of an Invoice. The last section is the History section which documents all the activity associated to this invoice, including when it was created, posted, and last but not least, emailed. Now you have a record of the date and time of when your e-mail was invoiced.
If the email was sent, but your customer still hasn't recieved it:
If a customer still hasn't received an invoice, you can always resend it by clicking on the Email Invoice button on the top right corner of the page. When you do, the History section will show both the resend and the original instance.
If you still cannot find the email:
If you've streamlined your Bill Runs to generate, post and email in one process, you might think it's safe to assume that the invoices were successfully set to their customer. But don't forget to keep in mind that there are certain attributes to determine the invoice delivery:
While you may have set your Bill Run settings, to automatically email on posting the invoices, there are other factors that determine whether than invoice will be sent:
- The Work Email address must be provided on the Bill-To Contact.
- The customer account's Invoice Delivery Preferences must be set to Yes.
