Billing and Payments

Tax Rate Import Now Supports More CSV Format Variations

Previously, you could only import tax rates as Windows Comma Separated CSV files using Microsoft Excel. Now, Zuora also supports the following CSV format variations for tax rate import:

  • MS-DOS Comma Separated from Microsoft Excel
  • Comma Separated Values from Microsoft Excel
  • Comma Separated Values from Google Sheets

See Tax Rates for more information.

Support CAPTCHA Challenge and Disabled Submit Thresholds for Payment Pages 2.0

Two thresholds are added to limit the maximum number of Payment Page submissions. Through the Zuora UI, you can configure these thresholds on the Payment Page configuration page.

  • Display CAPTCHA Threshold: When end users hit this threshold by repeatedly submitting incorrect information on the Payment Page, they must pass the CAPTCHA challenge before each further Payment Page submission.
  • Disabled Submit Threshold: When end users hit this threshold by repeatedly submitting incorrect information on the Payment Page, Zuora will block all further Payment Page submissions.

See Configure Advanced Security Checks for Payment Pages 2.0 for more information.

Legacy PDF Generation Service Permanently Deprecated

The legacy PDF generation service is now permanently deprecated and taken offline. If you were still using the legacy PDF generation service before this release, Zuora migrates your tenant to the new PDF generation service. To further minimize the small risk of presentment errors, test PDF outputs to ensure that new service produces the expected results.

See Upgrade to New Invoice File Generation Service for more information about testing PDF outputs.

Resolved: Payment Runs Returned Incorrect Total Value of Payments Under Certain Conditions

During processing of a payment run, if you cancelled or voided the payments generated from this payment run, the value of the Total Value of Payments field on the payment run detail page might be incorrect. The cancelled and voided payments might be included in the calculation of the total value of payments.

This issue is now resolved. The Total Value of Payments field now shows the correct value.

Platform

EU Data Center

With the opening of Zuora EU Data Center in July 2017, Zuora now operates two geographically separated data centers in US and Europe.

Zuora EU Data Center hosts a completely isolated instance of the Zuora services, hosted completely in the cloud. No customer data will be copied or replicated between US and EU.

The EU Data Center supports:

  • The Production and the Sandbox environments of Zuora. The Performance Test and Production Copy environments are not supported in the EU Data Center.
  • Zuora REST API
  • The same on-boarding process for new customers as in US Data Center
  • All Zuora features, including Reporting, Connect, Multi-Entity, and Micro Services
  • EU-specific Login Page

A separate login page is provided for EU Data Center customers in order to offer customers security, usability, and ease of implementation.

The EU Data Center follows the same release cadence and schedule as the US Data Center.

A single Multi-entity customer cannot span multiple regions, US and EU.
