This feature is only available if you have the Order Metrics feature enabled. If you wish to have access to the feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support. We will investigate your use cases and data before enabling this feature for you. If you have the Orders feature enabled, you already have the Order Metrics feature enabled.
If you have the Order Metrics feature enabled prior to March 2018, you can submit a request at Zuora Global Support to migrate the Order Metrics to the latest version.
If you have the Order Metrics feature enabled, the set activation dates button is not available on the subscription page for an active subscription. This prevents the potential inconsistent start date issue between an order quantity metric and invoice item.
The Orders feature has now been enhanced to respect the following Subscription permissions:
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) enforced in May 2018 stipulates that the personally identifiable information (PII) of EU citizens must be erased if they require vendors to do so under certain circumstances. In compliance with GDPR, Zuora provides you with a new user permission called “Hard Delete Billing Document Files" and a new REST API operation called “Create job to hard delete billing document files” to erase the PII contained in billing documents.
If you have this user permission, you can call the new REST API operation to permanently delete all billing document PDF files stored in Zuora for specific accounts.
Zuora now supports embedding images in addition to barcodes into files that are generated for billing documents, including invoices, credit memos, and debit memos. To achieve this, you can add a custom merge field to any billing document template.
{ MERGEFIELD Image:{Merge field} \* MERGEFORMAT }
For example:
{ MERGEFIELD Image:Account.ImageURL__c \* MERGEFORMAT }
The Billing user permission "Regenerate invoice PDF" is now called “Regenerate PDF”, and is now relocated in the Billing Document Files area. This permission has been enhanced to control whether to regenerate PDF files for all billing documents, including invoices, credit memos, and debit memos. By default, you can regenerate PDF files for billing documents.
See Billing Permissions for more information.
