Invoicing and Invoice Settlement

Support for tax rate selection of upgrades and downgrades

If you want to have access to the Tax Selection for Calculation feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support.

Zuora now offers the ability to select the tax rate behavior of refunds or additional unit purchases resulting from dynamic subscriptions.

With the Tax Selection for Calculation feature, you can now specify which tax rate to use in the rating process when changes are made to subscriptions by creating amendments or orders, or when tax rates are changed within a billing period of an active subscription.

To use this feature, you also have to set the newly introduced Apply new tax rate for additional units purchased and old tax rate for returns? billing rule to Yes.

See Tax Selection for Calculation and Define Billing Rules for more information.

Payments

Support for returning raw gateway information in Payment Pages 2.0

A new Payment Pages 2.0 setting called Need to Return Raw Gateway Info is now available by navigating to Payments Settings > Setup Hosted Pages. With this setting enabled, the rawGatewayInfo field that contains both common response fields and additional gateway information will be returned in Payment Pages 2.0 responses.

All versions of Zuora integration with the following payment gateways support returning raw gateway information:

  • CyberSource
  • Chase Orbital

See the following articles for more information:

Zuora's integrations with Braintree and Allpago now support soft descriptors

The following gateway integrations now support soft descriptors:

  • Allpago
  • Braintree

A new field named Soft Descriptor has been added to the configuration page of both gateways in Zuora. The specified value for this field will be presented on customers’ credit card statements. This field corresponds to the descriptor field of both gateways.

For more information, see:

Zuora Billing UI enhancements

The following changes are available as of this release.

  • On the all objects page, the search input and search conditions that you specify in the Search area now can be stored as the search reference for future searches. After you click the searched result, perform some other operations, and then return to the same all objects page, the search input and search conditions are still the ones that you just specified.
Previously, the search conditions were reset to the default search conditions after returning to the all objects page.
  • If you are a new Zuora user and want to activate your user account, the Job Title and Job Function(s) fields are now displayed on the Activate Your Zuora Login page for you to specify job information.
