Assign and Configure Page Layouts for Payment and Invoice

This article describes how to assign and configure account related page layouts and configure to support the Payment and Invoice Payment objects.

In Zuora 360 version 2.4, multiple page layouts were added to support the Payment and Invoice Payment objects.

In Zuora 360 version 2.5, the page layout was added to support the Refund object.

To use these layouts, you must configure and assign them to user profiles in your Salesforce org.

Assign Payment Page Layout

As the admin user, you can customize the latest default Payment page layout and assign the page layout to the user profiles to access the page.

The new page layouts are used by the payment and invoice payment sync process. This sync process is a controlled release feature. 

Submit a request at Zuora Global Support to enable this feature or service.

To assign the Payment page layouts to user profiles: 

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects.
  2. Select Payment. Scroll to the Page Layouts section and click Page Layout Assignment.
  3. Click Edit Assignment, and select the user profiles that you want to assign the page layouts to.
  4. In the Page Layout to Use list, select the latest version of Payment Z-Force Layout, e.g. Payment Z-Force Layout v2.7.
  5. Click Save.

Configure and Assign the Billing Account Page Layout

As the admin user, you can customize the latest default payment page layout and assign the page layout to the user profiles to access the page.

The new page layouts are used by the payment and invoice payment sync process. This sync process is a controlled release feature. 

Submit a request at Zuora Global Support to enable this feature or service.

To assign the Billing Account page layout to user profiles:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects.
  2. Select Billing Account. Scroll to the Page Layouts section and click Page Layout Assignment.
  3. Click Edit Assignment, and select the user profiles that you want to assign the page layouts to.
  4. Select the latest version of the Billing Account Z-Force Layout in the Page Layout to Use list.
  5. Click Save.

To customize an existing Billing Account page layout to add the Invoice Payments related list: 

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects.
  2. Select Billing Account. Scroll to the Page Layouts section and click the Edit link next to the latest version of the Billing Account Z-Force Layout.
  3. Click the Related Lists link, then drag the Payments related list down to the bottom of the page and drop it into position.
  4. Click the wrench icon on the Related List configuration panel.
  5. Move the following fields to the Select Fields column:
    • Payment Number
    • Billing Account
    • Payment Method
    • Status
    • Effective Date
    • Amount
    • Applied Invoice Amount
    • Applied Credit Balance Amount
    • Amount
    • Refund Name
    • Refunded Date
    • Transaction Date
  6. Click the + (plus) icon in the Buttons section header. Uncheck the checkbox next to the New button, then click OK.
  7. Click Save.

Configure and Assign the ZInvoice Page Layout

As the admin user, you can customize the latest ZInvoice page layout and assign the page layout to user profiles to access the page.

The new page layouts are used by the payment and invoice payment sync process. This sync process is a controlled release feature. 

Submit a request at Zuora Global Support to enable this feature or service.

To assign the Invoice page layout to user profiles:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects > Invoice.
  2. Scroll to the Page Layouts section and click Page Layout Assignment.
  3. Click Edit Assignment, and select the user profiles that you want to assign the page layouts to.
  4. Select the latest version of the ZInvoice Z-Force Layout page layout in the Page Layout to Use list.
  5. Click Save.

To customize an existing ZInvoice page layout to add the Invoice Payments related list:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects > Invoice.
  2. Scroll to the Page Layouts section and click the Edit link next to the latest version of the ZInvoice Z-Force Layout page layout.
  3. Click the Related Lists link, then drag the Invoice Payments related list down to the bottom of the page and drop it into position.
  4. Click the "wrench" icon on the Related List configuration panel.
  5. Move the following fields to the Select Fields column:
    • Payment
    • Applied Amount
    • Amount
    • Adjustment Amount (invoice adjustment amount)
    • Payment Amount
    • Amount Without Tax
    • Tax Amount
    • Tax Exempt Amount
  6. Move the Name field to the Available Fields column.
  7. Click the + (plus) icon in the Buttons section header. Uncheck the checkbox next to the New button, then click OK.
  8. Click Save.

Configure and Assign the Account Page Layout

To assign the Account page layout to user profiles:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Customize > Accounts > Page Layouts.
  2. Click Page Layout Assignment.
  3. Click Edit Assignment, and select the user profiles that you want to assign the page layouts to.
  4. Select the latest version of the Account Z-Force 360 Layout page layout in the Page Layout to Use list.
  5. Click Save.

To customize an existing Account page layout to add the Payments related list:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Customize > Accounts > Page Layouts.
  2. Click the Edit link next to the latest version of the Account Z-Force 360 Layout page layout.
  3. Click the Related Lists link, then drag the Payments related list down to the bottom of the page and drop it into position.
  4. Click the "wrench" icon on the Related List configuration panel.
  5. Move the following fields to the Select Fields column:
    • Billing Account
    • Payment Method
    • Status
    • Effective Date
    • Amount
    • Applied Invoice Amount
    • Applied Credit Balance Amount
    • Amount
    • Refund Name
    • Refund Date
    • Payment Number
    • Refund Method type
  6. Click the + (plus) icon in the Buttons section header. Uncheck the checkbox next to the New button, then click OK.
  7. Click Save.

  2. Select Payment Invoice. Scroll to the Page Layouts section and click Page Layout Assignment.
  3. Click Edit Assignment, and select the user profiles that you want to assign the page layouts to.
  4. Select the latest version of the PaymentInvoice Z-Force Layout page layout in the Page Layout to Use list.
  5. Click Save.

To customize an existing Invoice Payment page layout to add the Payments related list:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Customize > Accounts > Page Layouts.
  2. Click the Edit link next to the latest version of the PaymentInvoice Z-Force Layout.
  3. Click the Related Lists link, then drag the Payments related list down to the bottom of the page and drop it into position.
  4. Click the "wrench" icon on the Related List configuration panel.
  5. Move the following fields to the Select Fields column:
    • Refund Name
    • Amount
    • Refund Invoice Payment Number
  6. Click the + (plus) icon in the Buttons section header. Uncheck the checkbox next to the New button, then click OK.
  7. Click Save.

As the admin user, you can customize the Refund page layout and assign the page layout to user profiles to access the page.

The new page layouts are used by the payment and invoice payment sync process. This sync process is a controlled release feature.

To assign the Refund page layout to user profiles:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects.
  2. Select Refund. Scroll to the Page Layouts section and click Page Layout Assignment.
  3. Click Edit Assignment, and select the user profiles that you want to assign the page layouts to.
  4. Select the latest version of the Refund Z-Force Layout in the Page Layout to Use list.
  5. Click Save.

To customize an existing Refund page layout to add the Payments related list:

  1. Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Customize > Accounts > Page Layouts.
  2. Click the Edit link next to the latest version of the Refund Z-Force Layout.
  3. Click the Related Lists link, then drag the Payments related list down to the bottom of the page and drop it into position.
  4. Click the "wrench" icon on the Related List configuration panel.
  5. Move the following fields to the Select Fields column:
    • Refund Name
    • Amount
    • Refund Invoice Payment Number
  6. Click the + (plus) icon in the Buttons section header. Uncheck the checkbox next to the New button, then click OK.
  7. Click Save.
