This feature is only available if you have the Data Connect feature enabled. We are actively soliciting feedback from a small set of early adopters. If you wish to have access to the feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support.

This table below describes the known limitations in the current version of Data Connect. Please note Data Connect is in Limited Availability and so we encourage customers to test thoroughly their use cases after enablement to avoid the risk of data loss in production.

Feature Limitations

Object Type

  • Initially, three object types: Invoice, Invoice Item, and Taxation Item are supported.

  • UI for the sync results is currently not supported.

  • To use Data Connect, you should use the username, password, and security token for authentication. Oauth is not supported.

Sync Mode
  • To use Data Connect, you should turn on and use Real-Time Sync. Scheduled Sync is not supported.

Email Notification

  • When an error occurs in the sync on the Invoice, Invoice Item, or Taxation Item object, you will not get an email notification.

SRPC Versions

  • In Zuora, an Invoice Item is linked to a version of the Subscription Rate Plan Charge (SRPC) object that generated it.

  • Zuora 360 by default only syncs the latest version of a Subscription and deletes the old version, therefore your Invoice Item in Salesforce could have a null lookup to the SRPC if generated based on a previous Subscription version.

  • If you have the T9 permission "Only Update Salesforce Subscription for Sync" turned on, then Invoice Item in Salesforce will always have a lookup to the SRPC, however the Invoice Item details will be based on the version of the SRPC it was generated from. If a Remove a Product amendment occurs, Zuora will delete the SRPC and the Invoice Item sync will then have a null reference, even with that T9 setting enabled.

Historical Data

  • When you turn on Data Connect, the sync will begin, and you will not get the historical data on the Invoice, Invoice Item, and Taxation Item objects.
