This feature is no longer available for new users. You can check Advanced Billing Consumption if you are interested in our up-to-date billing consumption features, such as Prepaid with Drawdown and Unbilled Usage.

If you want to import usage data by uploading usage files, you must first download the usage file template.

To download the usage file template through the REST API, see Download usage file template for more information.

To download the CSV usage file template through the Zuora UI:

  1. In the left-hand navigation section, navigate to Billing > Usage.
  2. On the All Usage Records page, click  in the upper-right corner.
  3. In the Upload Usage File dialog, click the CSV link in the Notes area to download the CSV usage file template.

After the CSV usage file template is downloaded, you can create a usage file based on the template and add usage records to the file.
