View Information of Usage Records
This feature is no longer available for new users. You can check Advanced Billing Consumption if you are interested in our up-to-date billing consumption features, such as Prepaid with Drawdown and Unbilled Usage.
After you create a usage record or import usage data, you can view information about a usage record.
To view information about usage records through the REST API:
- Get usage record: Retrieves information about one specific usage records.
- Query usage records: Retrieves information about usage records with pagination.
- Query usage records in stream: Retrieves information about usage records in a stream without pagination.
To view information about a usage record through the Zuora UI:
- In the left-hand navigation section, navigate to Billing > Usage.
- On the All Usage Records page, click
> View Usage Record next to the usage record that you want to edit. - On the usage record detail page, view the information about the usage record.
On the usage record detail page, the ID of the usage record is displayed at the top, followed by its account name, status, and created date.
The usage record detail page displays information about the usage record in the General Information, Overview, Details, and Custom Fields areas.
General Information
The General Information area displays general information about the usage record.

| Account Name | The name of the customer account that the usage record belongs to. |

The status of the usage record.

| Created Date | The date when the usage record is created. |
Basic Information
The Overview area displays basic information about the usage record.

| Account Name | The name of the customer account that the usage record belongs to. |
| Subscription | The number of the subscription related to the usage record. |
| Charge | The number of the charge related to the usage record. |
| Group ID |
The group ID used for usage rating by group. Zuora groups the usage records based on the group ID when you choose the Custom Group option for usage rating. The Usage Rating by Group feature is in Limited Availability. If you wish to have access to the feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support. |
Basic Information
The Overview area displays the basic information about the usage record.

Detailed Information
The Details area displays detailed information about the usage record.

| Start Date | The start date when the usage record is consumed. |
| Start Time | The start time when the usage record is consumed. |
| Quantity | The number of units that the usage record is used. |
| UOM | The unit to measure the usage consumption. |
| File Name | The name of the import file when the usage record is imported from the file. |
| Description | The description of the usage record. |
Custom Fields
The Custom Fields area displays the custom fields that are used in the usage record. The custom fields with an asterisk are required for creating or updating usage records.
