Configuring Cards on the Dashboard

This feature is in Limited Availability. See Requesting Zuora Dashboard if you wish to have access to this feature. To be eligible to have access to this feature, Orders must be enabled in your Zuora tenant.

The dashboard available via Reporting > Dashboard displays key subscription metrics as interactive cards. This article explains how to configure the cards according to the needs of your organization.

Move a Card

If you have a Reporting role that includes the Manage Dashboard permission, you can move cards on the dashboard.

To move a card, drag the card to the desired location. When you move the card, the dashboard changes for all Zuora users in your organization.

Resize a Card

If you have a Reporting role that includes the Manage Dashboard permission, you can resize cards on the dashboard.

To resize a card:

  1. Click ··· at the top-right of the card.

    Dashboard_Card_Options.png

  2. Select the width of the card.

When you resize the card, the dashboard changes for all Zuora users in your organization.

Change Card Display Options

If you have a Reporting role that includes the Manage Dashboard permission, you can change how cards are displayed on the dashboard.

This action is not available for ARR Changes or MRR Changes.

To change how a card is displayed:

  1. Click ··· at the top-right of the card.

    Dashboard_Card_Options.png

  2. Select a display option:

Dasboard_Card_Option_Headline_Chart.png Show headline numbers and a chart
    Dasboard_Card_Option_Chart_Only.png Show a chart only
    Dasboard_Card_Option_Headline_Only.png Show headline numbers only

When you change the card display options, the dashboard changes for all Zuora users in your organization.

Change the Metric Shown on a Card

If you have a Reporting role that includes the Manage Dashboard permission, you can:

  • Choose to display ARR Changes instead of MRR Changes.
  • Choose to display Net ARR instead of Net MRR.

For example, to display ARR Changes instead of MRR Changes, use the Metric menu on the MRR Changes card:

When you change the metric shown on a card, Zuora resets the card. This means that you will lose any customizations, including saved filters.

If you use Zuora Insights, you can configure each card to show any available metric. See Metrics on the Zuora Dashboard for more information.

Filter the Data Shown on a Card

You can filter the data shown on each card. For example, you could filter the Net MRR card so that it only shows the MRR for a particular set of products, then change the title of the card to "Net MRR for Core Products."

To change the data shown on a card:

  1. On the dashboard, click the card.

    The card detail page opens.

  2. Click Filter.

Zuora displays a filter builder. You can use the filter builder to specify which fields Zuora should consider when calculating the subscription metric.

To use the filter builder:

  • Click Choose attribute to create a criterion for calculating the subscription metric. Each criterion is based on a field from your Zuora tenant. After you have selected the field, you can define a condition on the field, such as "is" a particular value or "greater than" a particular value.
  • Click Add criterion to create an additional criterion. By default, Zuora will apply all the criteria when calculating the subscription metric. That is, by default, the filter is defined by a logical AND condition.
  • Click AND to have Zuora apply at least one of the criteria when calculating the subscription metric. If you do this, AND changes to OR to indicate that the filter is defined by a logical OR condition.
  • Click Card_Filter_Nest.png  to nest a criterion within a logical condition.

For example:

If you want to filter the MRR Changes card by type of subscription change, select the "Booking Attributes (Orders): Change Type" field when creating a criterion.

As you use the filter builder, the chart and data grid change. However, Zuora does not update the dashboard. Next time you view the card, you will see the original data.

If you have a Reporting role that includes the Manage Dashboard permission, you can update the dashboard by clicking Save. This updates the dashboard for all Zuora users in your organization.

Change the Chart Type of a Card

You can change the chart type of the following cards:

  • Active Subscribers
  • Net ARR
  • Net MRR
  • Average ARR per Subscriber (only available with Zuora Insights)
  • Average MRR per Subscriber (only available with Zuora Insights)

If you have a Reporting role that includes the Manage Dashboard permission, you can update the dashboard by clicking Save. This updates the dashboard for all Zuora users in your organization.

To change the title of a card:

  1. On the dashboard, click the card.

    The card detail page opens.
