Summary of MRR and TCV Trend by Sales Rep

We are currently transitioning to a new Reporting solution, with a new set of Standard Reports. See Create a Summary Report for how to use the new Reporting solution. See Reporting Migration Process for more information about the transition.

This report lists the Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and the Total Contract Value (TCV) as of the 1st of the month for all subscriptions. Results are grouped by Currency, Month and Sales Rep (a field on the Account).

This report shows the TCV and MRR sum for all charges that belong to all subscriptions active on the 1st of the month. You should not expect the TCV or MRR numbers in this report to match the TCV or MRR numbers from other reports as some of the other  reports consolidate MRR or TCV for all new subscriptions within an entire month.

See Monthly Recurring Revenue and Total Contract Value for more information, and especially notice the 'Discount Charges' section which states, "Discount charges are not part of the MRR calculation due to the uncertain variables in discounts."

Report Calculation

This report sums MRR on the 1st of the month for all charges in all subscriptions that have the following status:

  • Draft
  • Pending Activation
  • Pending Acceptance
  • Active or Canceled

The report also sums MRR and TCV for each grouping of Currency, Month and Sales Rep.

MRR for charges belonging to evergreen subscriptions are not included in this report.

Report Filters

The following filters are used in this report:

  • ReferenceMonth which is specified by the user and is used to filter out subscriptions not active during the specified month.
  • Subscription.Status does not equal 'Expired'.

The following filters are used in this report:

ReferenceMonth

  • User specified
  • Used to filter out inactive subscriptions during the specified month

Subscription.Status

Does not equal Expired

How to Customize the Report

Consider modifying the Subscription Status filter to only include subscriptions with a status of either Active or Canceled, to eliminate the possibility of draft or pending subscriptions from being included and inflating the reported MRR number.

While the delivered report shows MRR aggregated per product, you may want to show MRR per Rate Plan or Rate Plan Charge by editing the Grouping.

Currently, you cannot add custom fields or additional fields from other Zuora objects.

See Standard and Custom Reports for more information.
