Using the Statement Generator Feature

Statement Generator can be run either manually or through the scheduler (configured in the Settings tab). Navigate to the Execution tab to view all statement runs.

On average, statements can take approximately 30 seconds for processing. Large-scale processing (for example, 1,000 statements) can take up to 10-20 minutes.

Manually Generate Statements

Statements can be generated outside of the recurring schedule. Generating statements manually does not affect the recurring schedule. You will get the recurring statements no matter how many times you manually generate statements.

Statements generated manually will use the configurations on the Settings page and require a time range that concludes on the current day. There are no limitations to creating multiple statements for the same time period.

  1. Navigate to Executions tab.

  2. Select + in toolbar.


  3. Configure details for the ad-hoc statement generating process:

    1. Select the batch of accounts to generate statements for.
    2. Enter the start date for the system to start gathering files.
    3. Click Start.

Statement Generator is only able to generate statements for a particular batch. If you are trying to generate a statement for a single customer, you will need to move them into their own batch and then execute the process. View Statements

You can view generated statements in your Zuora environment (if configured to be attached to an account) or in the Statement Generator feature instance, 

To view statements in your Zuora environment, navigate to the desired account. On the account landing page, scroll to the Attachment section and view statements.

On the home page of Statement Generator, navigate to the Executions header to view all statement runs. Click the refresh icon on the toolbar to get the latest status of statement runs.


To view statement run details and errors, click Log in the ACTIONS column.

To view all statements generated in a run, click the desired Statement Run Number or the corresponding Statements in the ACTIONS column. When reviewing statements, you can search for a particular account, sort the list by statement number, account number or name, or statement status.

To view a specific statement, click the statement number or PDF in the same row.

To send a statement to the customer email address configured in settings, click Email in that row. 


Click Download/Email in the toolbar for a list of actions you can perform to get copies of the statements in various batches. You can import the downloaded batch file to other systems (such as Salesforce) for further processing.

  • Download Email - Download a file of all statements from accounts that have an invoice preference of email.
  • Download Print - Download a file of all statements from accounts that have an invoice preference of print.
  • Download Others - Download a file of all statements from accounts that do not have an invoice preference.
  • Download All - Download a file of all statements created from statement run execution.
  • Download Report - Download a summary CSV file of account and statement information.
  • Download Summary - Download a summary CSV file of account invoice delivery preference as indicated in your Zuora environment.
  • Email - Email all generated statements to account emails identified on the Settings page.
