Create amendment quotes or renewal quotes

Prerequisites

• The New Quote (New) button has been added to the Opportunity Detail or Account Detail page. See Configure Opportunity, Account, and Quote page layouts for more information.
• Ensure that you are on a Zuora Quotes version 10.0.
• Ensure that the Zuora 360 package is set up in your Salesforce org. It is a requirement to create amendment or renewal quotes through the New Quote (New) button.

Procedure

Take the following steps to create an amendment or renewal quote using the New Quote (New) button:

1. In your Salesforce org, navigate to the Account Detail page of an account or the Opportunity Detail page of an opportunity.
2. Click the New Quote (New) button. 
3. In the area of Step 1: Select a Billing Account, select a billing account from the table. After a billing account is selected, all subscriptions associated with this account are displayed in the Step 2: Select a Subscription area.
4. Hover over the subscription you want to amend or renew in the area of Step 2: Select a Subscription. The Amend   and Renew   icons are displayed.
5. Click the Amend  or Renew  icon. The system will fetch subscription products from Zuora in the background, and load products to the amendment or renewal quote once the process is complete.
   When you amend or renew a subscription, the value of the Quote Name field is automatically generated based on the following rule:
   • For amendment quotes, the generated name is in the format of Amendment Quote for followed by the subscription name.
   • For renewal quotes, the name is in the format of Renewal Quote for followed by the subscription name.
   We recommend that you change the quote name when the amendment or renewal quote is loaded on the Quote Studio page.
6. Configure quote information and submit the configuration upon completion. See Configure quote information on Quote Studio page for instructions.

Change invoice owner in amendment quotes

You can create an amendment quote to change the Invoice Owner in Quote Studio.

To change the Invoice owner:

1. Enable the following two settings in the Zuora tenant:
   • Owner Transfer Amendment
   • Invoice Subscription to Different Accounts
2. Navigate to Zuora Config > Quote Configuration Settings, in the Field Configurations section, select the Enable Invoice Owner checkbox.
3. Add InvoiceOwner__c field to whichever Quote Studio Fieldset you would like to see it in.
4. Optional - Navigate to Zuora Config > Quote Studio Settings > Object Fields Config, hide Quote > Invoice Owner field for new and renew quotes.

Prerequisites

• Ensure that the new subscription quote you want to amend or renew has been created.
• Ensure that the Edit Quote (New) button has been added to the Quote Detail page. See Add the Edit Quote (New) button to Quote layouts for detailed instructions.

Procedure

Take the following steps to create an amendment or renewal quote:

1. Click the Quotes tab.
2. Find the quote you want to amend and click the quote name to enter the Quote Detail page.
3. Click the Edit Quote (New) button. The Quote Studio page is then displayed.
4. Configure quote information and submit the configuration upon completion. See Configure quote information on Quote Studio page for instructions.

Prerequisites

• Ensure that the new subscription quote you want to amend or renew has been created.
• The existing Edit Products and Charges page in Amendment/Renewal Quote Flow has been replaced with the Quote Studio page. See Combine guided selling flows with Quote Studio.

Procedure

Take the following steps to create an amendment or renewal quote:

1. Enter the Opportunity Detail page of an opportunity, the Account Detail page of an account, or the Quotes tab.
2. Click the New Quote button. The Select Billing Account and Quote Type page opens.
3. Select the billing account and quote type.
   1. If you create from the Quotes tab, click , find the account that is associated with the subscription you want to amend, and click the account name. The key information of the billing account is then automatically populated under the Billing Account list. 
   2. In the Quote Type list:
      • Select Amend an existing subscription to create an amendment quote.
      • Select Renew an existing subscription to create a renewal quote.
   3. Select the subscription that you want to amend or renew from the table under the Quote Type list.
   4. Click Next.
4. Configure the Provide Quote, Account and Subscription Term Details page.
   1. In the Quote Details section, specify the Quote Name, Amendment Name, and Valid Until fields, and other optional fields as needed.
   2. If you want to create an amendment quote, in the Subscription Terms and Conditions section, specify the Start Date, Initial Term, and Renewal Term fields, and other optional fields as needed.
   3. If you want to create a renewal quote, in the Subscription Terms and Conditions section, specify the Renewal Setting and Renewal Term fields, and other optional fields as needed.
   4. Click Next. The Quote Studio page opens.
5. On the Quote Studio page, review the quote information, edit products and charges, and submit the configuration upon completion. See Configure quote information on Quote Studio page for instructions.
