Upgrade Zuora 360 to Q1 2014 (Version 2.80)

Upgrade Zuora 360 to Q1 2014 (Version 2.80)

This document explains how to upgrade from Zuora 360 Titanium release (version 2.70) Zuora 360 Q1 2014 release (version 2.80).

If {{z360}} has never been installed on your {{sfdc}} org, perform the standard installation instruction as described in standard initial installation.

You are not required to uninstall your current version before installing the new version.

Enable History Tracking

Before upgrading Zuora 360, enable History Tracking for the Account field of the Billing Account object. This setting supports the ability to change CRM Account ID in bulk.
  1. Navigate to user name > Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects.
  2. Click Billing Account
  3. In the Custom Object Definition Detail section, click Edit.
  4. On the Edit Custom Object Definition page, in the Optional Features section, select Track Field History.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the Custom Fields & Relationships section, click Set History Tracking.
  7. On the Billing Account Field History page, select Account and click Save.

Install the Zuora 360 Managed Package

Request the Zuora 360 package installation link from Zuora Global Support, and install the version 2.80 of Zuora 360. See Install the Zuora 360 Package for detailed steps.

Add Rate Plan Id to the Subscription Product Charges Object

A new Rate Plan ID field was added to the Subscription Product Charges (Zuora__SubscriptionProductCharge__c) object as Zuora__RatePlanId__c and is populated with the Subscription Rate Plan ID of the corresponding Subscription Charge in Zuora. This change will enable the grouping and ordering of the subscription charges by rate plan.

Since this is a new field added to the Subscription Product Charge object,  in the first sync session after Zuora 360 is upgraded to 2.80, all existing Subscription Product Charge records in Salesforce will be migrated to include this field. Depending on the number of Subscription Product Charges you have in your Salesforce org, you should allow approximately 30 minutes to migrate every 1 million records.

If you choose not to migrate this field in the first Zuora 360 sync session after Zuora 360 is ugpraded to 2.80, follow the steps below:

  1. In your Salesforce org, navigate to Setup > App Setup > Develop > Custom Settings and click Manage next to Migration Settings.
  2. Click COM618_RateplanId.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Select Migrated.
  5. Click Save.

At a later point, if you are ready to migrate the data, you can repeat the above steps and uncheck the Migrated check box, which will trigger the data migration for the Rate Plan Id field in the next Zuora 360 sync session.
