View Trending Events and Event History

Insights tracks the actions that users perform in your application. Each type of action is represented by an event in Insights.

You can view historical data about the number of events that Insights recorded for an account or user. You can also view the top events recorded by Insights and information about how events are trending across your customers.

View the Top Actions Performed in Your Application

View the Top Events Across all Accounts

To view the top actions performed by all the users in all accounts:

  1. Navigate to Events.

  2. Select Chart.

  3. In the Range field, select one of the predefined time frames.

  4. Select the All Events tab.

Insights displays a breakdown of the number of occurrences of the top events, across all accounts, within the specified time frame. For example:

To view the top actions performed by all the users in an account:

  1. On the account profile page, select the Account Events tab.
  2. In the Range field, select one of the predefined time frames.

The account profile page displays the number of events within the specified time frame (Total Events). The account profile page also displays a breakdown of the number of occurrences of each event within the specified time frame. For example:

View How Events are Trending Across Your Customers

To view the top users and accounts that performed an event:

  1. On the event profile page, select the Users and Accounts tab.

  2. In the Range field, select one of the predefined time frames.

    The event profile page displays information about how the event is trending across your customers, including:

    • The percentage of users that performed the action in the specified time frame, along with a graph showing how many users performed the action each day.

    • The percentage of accounts that performed the action in the specified time frame, along with a graph showing how many accounts performed the action each day.

  3. Select the Users and Accounts tab.

    The event profile page displays the 10 users that performed the action the most within the specified time frame. The event profile page also displays the 10 accounts that performed the action the most within the specified time frame. For example:

View Event Frequency Across All Accounts

To view a graph of the frequency of an event per day, across all accounts:

  1. Navigate to Events.
  2. Select Chart.
  3. In the Range field, select one of the predefined time frames.
  4. Select the Compare Events tab.
  5. Enter the event in the Events field.

The Events page displays a graph of the frequency of the event per day, across all accounts, within the specified time frame. For example:

View Event Frequency for an Account or User

View the Frequency of an Event per Day

To view a graph of the frequency of an event per day, for an account or user:

  1. On the account or user profile page, select the Trends tab.
  2. Click Events, then select the event from the pick list.

The profile page displays a graph of the frequency of the event per day. For example:

View the Number of Events per Calendar Week

To view a graph of the number of events per calendar week, for an account or user:

  1. On the account or user profile page, select the Trends tab.
  2. Click Metrics, then select Total Actions per Week from the pick list.

The profile page displays a graph of the number of events per calendar week. Hover over the graph to view the number of events in each calendar week.
