Features and Enhancements

Update Usage Custom Fields

You can now update custom fields for processed usage records from the SOAP API and user interface. The ability to update those fields will allow you to perform more business operations on usage records with custom fields.

See Usage and Usage SOAP API object for more information.

Support for ProductRatePlanChargeID Field in Subscription SOAP Calls and REST Methods

ProductRatePlanChargeId is now an available field in the response from REST and SOAP subscription preview actions. The ProductRatePlanChargeId field adds flexibility to the way you name and describe your charges. Using this field, you can differentiate between charges with the same name or description.

See Previewing a Subscription with SOAP API  and Preview subscription with REST API for more information.

New Batch Mode and Batch Size Options for Zuora 360 Turbo Sync

By default, Turbo Sync is configured for optimal performance. For heavy users of custom triggers on 360 objects, we've added the following fields for Turbo Sync to help you manage and reduce the potential of errors during parallel batch processing:

  • Batch Mode: Options are: Default (mix of parallel and serial processingor Serial Only. If you choose Serial Only, Turbo Sync will submit all sync batches in serial mode and run slower.
  • Batch Size: Options are: 9000 (default), 8000, 7000, 6000, 5000, 4000, 3000, 2000, or 1000. If you choose a smaller batch size, Turbo Sync will consume more daily batch limits in your Salesforce org and run slower.

Zuora strongly recommends that you do not change the defaults. Changing the Batch Mode and Batch Size default values will affect sync performance.

To access these new fields, go to Settings > Z-Commerce Settings and select Synchronize Salesforce.com Data from the menu. You'll find these new fields in the Advanced Sync Settings section.

See Synchronize Data from Z-Billing for more information.

Updating Journal Entry Items with Blank Accounting Codes is Supported Through REST API

Now you can update journal entry items that have a blank accounting code using the Update Basic Information of a Summary Journal Entry REST method. Enter the empty string (“”) into the AccountingCodeName field of the journal entry item you want to update.

See Update Basic Information of a Summary Journal Entry for more information.

New Field in Account REST API

A new field called paymentGateway has been added to the Create Account, Get Account, and Update Account methods under Accounts. This field allows you to set, update, and retrieve payment gateway information.

See the following for more information:
