Billing and Payments

Forecast Future Billing Through the SOAP API

This feature is only available if you have the BillingPreviewRun or BillingPreviewRequest SOAP objects enabled. The BillingPreviewRun and BillingPreviewRequest SOAP objects are in Limited Availability. Submit a request at Zuora Global Support if you wish to have access to these SOAP objects.

Previously from the SOAP API, you could only preview future invoice items up to the current term end date. You could not preview invoice items past the end of the term even if the subscription auto-renew is enabled.

Now, you can preview future invoice items past the end of the term with the assumption that the subscriptions are renewed. The AssumeRenewal field is added to the following SOAP objects to preview future invoice items:

This enhancement allows you to forecast future billing based on an assumption that your customers renewed your subscriptions.

Customize the Format of Invoice Numbers

Previously, the invoices generated by Zuora were numbered INV00000001, INV00000002, and so on. For newly generated invoices, you can now modify the prefix “INV” and control the starting invoice number.

To customize the format of invoice numbers, from the Profile & Settings menu, select Billing > Manage Billing Document Configuration, then select the Prefix & Numbering tab.

See Manage Billing Document Configuration for more information.

Different UI Display Languages Now Generally Available

The Zuora UI is now generally available in the following languages for all core Zuora customers:

  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Japanese

By default, English is used as the UI display language for all users. You can set the language explicitly at the user level by selecting a supported language from the new Language drop-down menu. The Locale drop-down menu no longer controls the UI display language and only controls the date formatting.

To change the language that the UI is displayed in, select Profile > Manage Your Profile from the Profile & Settings menu.

See Personal Settings for more information.

Time Zone Support Now Generally Available

You can now set the time zone of your Zuora tenant to match the location in which you do business. To set the time zone, from the Profile & Settings menu, select Administration > Manage Tenant Profile. The time zone setting affects dates and times in the Zuora UI, APIs, reports, and data exports.

Previously, the time zone was Pacific Time. You do not need to take any action if you want to continue to use Pacific Time in Zuora.

When you change the time zone, Zuora updates existing scheduled events to compensate for the time zone change. See Before Changing Your Time Zone for more information.

If your organization uses Zuora Multi-entity, each entity can have its own time zone setting.

Current WSDL version: 81
