The Invoice Settlement feature is generally available as of Zuora Billing Release 296 (March 2021). This feature includes Unapplied Payments, Credit and Debit Memos, and Invoice Item Settlement. If you want to have access to the feature, see Invoice Settlement Enablement and Checklist Guide for more information. After Invoice Settlement is enabled, the Invoice Item Adjustment feature will be deprecated for your tenant.

Zuora generates the credit memo and debit memo PDFs based on the templates you set. You can set either Zuora default memo templates or your custom templates to generate memo PDFs. By default, Zuora default memo templates are used.

To use your custom memo template for generating memo PDFs, complete the following steps:

  1. Create a custom memo template.
  2. Upload the custom memo template to Zuora.
  3. Set the custom memo template as the default template.
