REST API

See API Changelog for a summary of REST API updates and documentation updates in the API Reference.

Orders and Subscriptions

Subscription Search by Indexed Custom Fields

You can now search subscriptions by a specific indexed custom field associated with subscriptions. All indexed custom fields on the Subscription object are now available as selectable search options via the Field label under the Search Conditions section in the Zuora UI. These options are only visible when 'Custom Field' is enabled in your tenant settings and indexed custom fields are configured in Billing Settings.

For search efficiency, Zuora recommends that you use the Exact Match search type when you search subscriptions by an indexed custom field.

Billing

New Billing Rule for Not Sending 0-Amount Invoice Items

This billing rule is only available if you have the External Tax Engine feature enabled. The External Tax Engine feature is in Limited Availability. If you wish to have access to the feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support

A new billing rule called "Do not send $0 items to external tax engine for tax calculation" has been added to Billing Settings > Define Billing Rules. You can use this billing rule to control whether to send invoice items with zero amount to external tax engines for tax calculation.

By default, this billing rule is set to No.

Payments

Enabling Response Code Prefix on Orbital Gateway 6.4.4 and 7.0.1

This feature is for specific use cases only. Contact Zuora Global Support before enabling it.

A new check box called Enable Response Code Prefix is now available on the configuration page of the Orbital Gateway 6.4.4 and 7.0.1.

You can select this check box to append a prefix to each gateway response code returned from the Orbital Gateway 6.4.4 and 7.0.1. With this feature, response codes returned from the Orbital Gateway 6.4.4 and 7.0.1 are consistent with those returned from the Orbital Gateway 6.3.0.

The following prefixes are supported:

  • ProcStatus: Used when no response code is returned on failed transactions.
  • RespCode: Used when response codes and messages are returned by the Orbital Gateway.
