Zuora Configuration Settings

This article describes the Zuora Configuration Settings in Microsoft CPQ. This is a post-deployment activity once the installation is complete.

Zuora Config settings enable you to customize the quoting process in Microsoft Dynamics 365. For example, you can choose to have the invoice owner transfer capability when creating amendment quotes.

To establish the API connection to Zuora, you must configure the Zuora API User Name, Zuora API Password, and API URL to authorize Zuora API for your Microsoft Dynamice 365.

Create New Zuora Configuration Settings

To create new Zuora Configuration Settings:

  1. In your Microsoft Dynamics 365 org, navigate Zuora Configuration Settings page under Configuration.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Enter information for the configuration fields. The table below describes these fields in more detail.

Field Description
Entity Configuration Entity Configuration name.
Customer Acceptance Date Select Yes to allow editing Customer Acceptance Date on new subscriptions and on existing subscriptions.
Service Activation Date Select Yes to allow editing Customer Acceptance Date on new subscriptions and on existing subscriptions.
Invoice Template ID Select the Invoice Template ID.
Invoice Owner Transfer Select to enable the Invoice owner transfer 
Invoice Separately Select to allow invoice separately. When you select Yes for  Invoiced Separately, you will see an Invoice Separately option in subscription records. Note that the option is not checked by default, but you can set this option on new subscriptions and on existing subscriptions.  
Suspend Resume Select to enable the suspend and resume quote feature.
Zuora API User Name API Username of your Zuora tenant.
Zuora API Password API password of your Zuora tenant.
API URL Zuora tenant URL.
Quote Product Canvas ID As soon as the installation is complete, you will receive this ID from the admins.
  1. Click Save.

Editing Active Zuora Configuration Settings

To edit the active Zuora Configuration Settings:

  1. In your Microsoft Dynamics 365 org, navigate Zuora Configuration Settings page under Configuration.
  2. Select the active Zuora Configuration Setting from the list available.

  1. Edit information for the configuration fields. 
  2. Click Save.

Activate/Deactivate Zuora Configuration Settings

To activate/deactivate Zuora Configuration Settings:

  1. In your Microsoft Dynamics 365 org, navigate Zuora Configuration Settings page under Configuration.
  2. Select the active Zuora Configuration Setting from the list available.
  3. To activate the Zuora Configuration Setting, click Activate, and to deactivate it, click Deactivate.
