Create a New Customer Account

You can create a customer account from Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as you can add Bill to and Sold to contacts. To create a quote, you must create and compile Account and Contact information.

Create a New Customer Account

When you create an account, provide as much detail as possible so that you can bill correctly. Strive for accurate and consistent spelling of a corporate name if it is a company. Your billing customer database is only as good as the data being entered into the system.

Take the following steps to create a new customer account:

  1. In your Microsoft Dynamics 365 sales hub, navigate to the Accounts layout page under the Customers section.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Enter the Basic Information and Contacts for the account. The following table provides a detailed description of each field displayed on the Accounts layout page.
