Create a New Customer Account
You can create a customer account from Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as you can add Bill to and Sold to contacts. To create a quote, you must create and compile Account and Contact information.
Create a New Customer Account
When you create an account, provide as much detail as possible so that you can bill correctly. Strive for accurate and consistent spelling of a corporate name if it is a company. Your billing customer database is only as good as the data being entered into the system.
Take the following steps to create a new customer account:
- In your Microsoft Dynamics 365 sales hub, navigate to the Accounts layout page under the Customers section.
- Click the New button.
- Enter the Basic Information and Contacts for the account. The following table provides a detailed description of each field displayed on the Accounts layout page.
