Transaction

The Transaction data source in Insights Analysis provides the transaction details of every object that has a direct financial impact on your subscription business. You can use the Transaction data source to calculate net payments, calculate net billing, or summarize accounts receivable activity for a period.

Each Transaction object corresponds to one of the following objects:

  • Credit Balance Adjustment
  • Credit Memo Item
  • Credit Memo Application Item
  • Credit Taxation Item
  • Debit Memo Item
  • Debit Taxation Item
  • Invoice Adjustment
  • Invoice Item
  • Invoice Item Adjustment
  • Invoice Payment
  • Payment Application
  • Payment Application Item
  • Refund Application
  • Refund Application Item
  • Refund Invoice Payment
  • Taxation Item

The Transaction fields represent properties that are common to these objects, such as the amount, the change in account balance, and the date. You can use the "Transaction: Transaction Type" field to determine which object a Transaction corresponds to.

If currency conversion is enabled, the following Transaction Fields are also available in the home currency configured in your Zuora tenant:

  • Amount
  • Change in Account Balance
  • Change in Invoice Balance

The exchange rate for currency conversion is determined from the object that the Transaction corresponds to. See Insights Analysis for more information about currency conversion in Insights Analysis.
