Get started with OneID

This article briefs you on how to get started with Zuora OneID as organization admins or standard users.

For more information about the overview and basic concepts of OneID, see OneID overview.

Prerequisites

Before starting using OneID, the following prerequisites are required:

  • Zuora OneID is enabled for your organization.
For more information about how to enable Zuora OneID, see Activate OneID for your organization.
  • You have logged in to OneID as an organization admin or a standard user.

Get started as an organization admin

As an organization admin in OneID, your primary task is to manage user access to the Zuora tenants in your organization. You can use user roles and groups to grant user access to the Zuora tenants.

The high-level steps to grant access to a Zuora tenant for a new user are as follows:

  1. Create a user role that contains permissions for the Zuora products in the tenant.
  2. Create a user group that contains the user role created in step 1.
  3. Create a standard user.
  4. Add the user to the user group created in step 2.
After being added to the user group, the user gains access to the tenant.

Get started as a standard user

Before you start, ensure you have been assigned access to at least one Zuora tenant. If not, check with the OneID administrator of your organization.

As a standard user, you can access Zuora tenants easily with OneID without entering credentials for each tenant.

The high-level steps to access a Zuora tenant with OneID are as follows:

  1. Link a tenant user to your OneID user.
  2. Access the tenant with OneID.
