Export Summary Journal Entries

Overview

Summary journal entries are well-formatted for exporting into a CSV file and importing into your GL system. The export is a standard Zuora data source export on the Journal Entry Item data source object. This article explains how to export summary journal entries.

Export Journal Entries

You can export journal entries from an open or closed accounting period. You can start the export from either an accounting period or a journal entry run.

The export  is a standard Zuora data source export on the Journal Entry Item data source object. See Journal Entry Item Data Source for object and field descriptions.

Export from the Accounting Period

Navigation: Finance > Accounting Periods > Accounting Periods and select the accounting period. From the more menu, select Export Journal Entries.

The Data Sources page is displayed with Journal Entry Item data source pre-selected with the following filters:

  • Name (text): Name of the selected accounting period
  • Status (picklist): Created status for the journal entry run

Select object fields to include in the export and the file format. Click Export.

Export from the Journal Run

Navigate to Finance > Journal Runs. Click the journal run link from the list. From the more menu, select Export Journal Entries.

The Data Sources page appears with the Journal Entry Item data source pre-selected with the following filters:

  • Number (text): Run Number of the selected journal entry run
  • Status (picklist): Created status of the selected journal entry run

Select object fields to include in the export and the file format. Click Export.
