Create and manage custom fields with Schema Visualizer

This article describes how to create, update, or delete custom fields for a standard or custom object with Schema Visualizer.

Open the custom field list page

To open the custom field list page of a standard or custom object within Schema Visualizer, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Platform > Object Manager in the left navigation menu.
  2. On the Object Manager page, click the Schema Visualizer tab.
    A canvas with Zuora Billing objects opens.
  3. If the object you want to search does not belong to Zuora Billing, enable the corresponding product filter by clicking the product name in the upper left of the page.

    For example, if you want to create a custom field for the Payment Method object, enable the Payment product filter.
  4. Hover your mouse over the object name on the canvas and then click the Edit edit.png icon.
    The custom field list page of this object opens.

Create a custom field

To create a custom field for a standard or custom object with Schema Visualizer, you must open the custom field list page of the object. For detailed procedure, see Open the custom field list page.

The other steps are the same as creating a custom field with the Object Manager. For more information, see steps 2 to 4 in Create custom fields.

Update a custom field

To update a custom field for a standard or custom object with Schema Visualizer, you must open the custom field list page of the object. For detailed procedure, see Open the custom field list page.

The other steps are the same as updating a custom field with the Object Manager. For more information, see steps 2 to 4 in Modify custom fields.

Delete a custom field

To delete a custom field for a standard or custom object with Schema Visualizer, you must open the custom field list page of the object. For detailed procedure, see Open the custom field list page.
