Invoicing and Invoice Settlement

Uplift of the limit on the number of Invoice Due configurable days for notification delivery

Zuora has uplifted the upper limit on the time when the overdue invoice notification is sent to your customers. The Notification delivery day can be set up to 365 days after the invoice due date.

Total amount now available during memo creation from charges through the Zuora UI

When creating a credit or debit memo from a product rate plan charge through the Zuora UI, you can now see the total amount of the selected memo items in the newly available Total Amount field in the Charge Line Items area. When memo items are selected or unselected, the total amount is updated automatically.

Resolved: Tax-only memo items could not be created for zero-amount invoice taxation items through the Zuora UI

Previously, during credit or debit memo creation from an invoice, tax-only memo items could not be created for the zero-amount taxation items of the corresponding invoice through the Zuora UI.

This issue has been resolved.

General availability of BillRun APIs

The BillRun APIs are now generally available for all Zuora customers. You can use the CRUD Bill Run operations to manage bill runs. 

The BillingRun object is now available in the latest downloaded WSDL file with WSDL version 63.0 or later.

The Billing Preview feature is now generally available for all Zuora customers. You can use the following operations to manage billing preview runs:

The BillingPreviewRun object is now available in the latest downloaded WSDL file with WSDL version 61.0 or later.

General availability of taxVoid call handling in the Avalara AvaTax for Sales app and the Avalara AvaTax for Communications app

If you use the Avalara AvaTax for Sales app or the Avalara AvaTax for Communications app to process tax, you can now configure the app to void billing documents and subsequent tax records. For more information, see:

Configure Real-Time Reconciliation setting now available

The Configure Real-Time Reconciliation Payments setting used to enable the Real-Time Reconciliation feature is now available to all customers. Previously, you had to submit a request at Zuora Global Support to access this setting.

This feature is currently only supported by the GoCardless gateway integration. See Real-Time Reconciliation for more information.

Support for using stored credential profiles to process unscheduled payments

For credit card payment methods, Zuora now supports the stored credential profile with the “Unscheduled” type to process a fixed or variable amount that does not occur on a scheduled or regularly occurring transaction date. You can create Unscheduled profiles for payment methods through the Zuora UI, REST API, or Payment Pages 2.0 by specifying “Unscheduled” for the profile type field.

As of this release, the support for Unscheduled profiles is limited to Chase Paymentech Orbital Gateway integration only.

Zuora supports the stored credential profile with the “Unscheduled” type in accordance with the Stored Credential Transaction framework from Visa (UCOF), Mastercard, and Discover. See Stored credential transactions for more information.

Support for deleting OAuth tokens for payment gateways

You can now delete gateway OAuth tokens in any of the following statuses on the Gateway Authentication setting page:

  • Error
  • Draft
  • Pending

Stripe v2 supports auto-capturing IP address through Payment Pages

A setting named Auto-capture IP Address is now available on the Stripe v2 gateway configuration page. With this setting enabled, Zuora will automatically send the IP address to Stripe through Payment Pages when a new payment method is created.

CyberSource v2.0 supports Delayed Capture for Credit Card Reference

The CyberSource, Payment API v2.0 gateway integration now supports the Delayed Capture feature for Credit Card Reference payment methods.
