With Variable Consideration upload, you can manually upload variable consideration adjustment data.

Before uploading variable consideration adjustment data, ensure that a valid SO is available.

  1. Navigate to RevPro > File Upload > Variable Consideration.
  2. On the VC Upload page, click New Template.
  3. In the Template Definition tab:
    • Enter a valid name for the template.
    • Select the upload type as Estimates or Actuals. It means to have variable consideration for estimated values or actual values.
    • Select the Enabled check box to enable the template.
  4. In the File Specifications section:
    • Select the file type. If the uploaded file is not in the specified format, an error message is displayed.
    • Select the date format to validate the date value in the uploaded file. If the date value format in the uploaded file is different from the template, an error message is displayed.
    • Select the start row to identify the row number from which the actual data gets inserted into the staging table from the uploaded file. For example, start in row 2.
  5. Click Save to save the details.
  6. In the Filters tab, click + to add a new filter. Based on the filter criteria, you can view relevant data in the template, and the data will populate to the downloaded template.
  7. Click Save and the Freeze button appears. You can freeze the template so that no changes can be made in the template. 
  8. On the VC Upload page, select the newly added template, right-click and select Download Template. An Excel file is downloaded with the header and the POB details along with the VC types based on the applied filter in the template.
  9. Edit the downloaded template:
    • For Upload Type - Estimates:  For a single Sales Order Line ID, you can get multiple VC Type mapping, if that VC type is mapped to the applied POB. You can give the New Apply Value in % or you can enter a specific amount. Select the relevant VC type and enter values for the Formula Name and New Apply Value fields. Rest of the rows can be deleted.
      1. Enter the formula name.
      2. Enter the new apply value and save the excel.
    • For Upload Type - Actuals: 
      1. Enter the process type.
      2. Enter the VC amount to be cleared.
      3. If the VC type is tracked by Quantity Enabled, enter the quantity to be cleared.
  10. Select the same newly added template, right-click and select Upload to upload the modified excel file. A success message is displayed.
  11. In the Uploaded Files panel, the following details are displayed:
    • File Name – Name of the uploaded CSV file.
    • Download File – Link to download the uploaded file.
    • Status – A success message is displayed if the upload is successful. An error message is displayed if the upload is not successful.
    • Message – Count of the success or failures that occurred while uploading the file.
    • Org Name – Name of the organization to which the user belongs to.
    • Created By – Name of the user who uploaded the template.
    • Creation Date – Date on which the file was uploaded. 
  12. To run the VC process, select Reports > Schedule Jobs> Job/ Job Groups Status.
  13. Click Schedule Job/ Job Groups to open the Schedule Job/Job Groups page.
  14. In the Schedule Program tab, select VC process from the Program Name field.
  15. Specify the start date for the VC process to start.
  16. In the Program Parameters tab, enter the book name, VC type, and RC ID as specified in the VC upload file.
  17. Click Submit Job to run the VC process.
