Reports

Overview

The Reports menu enables you to manually run reports or schedule reports to run in the background and have the report results available for download RevPro pre-summarizes data for reporting in a report summarization table. RevPro reports can display data (up to 50 columns) from the report summarization table based on report layouts. Reports have pre-defined layouts which can be copied and then tailored based on your preferences. Reports default to open accounting period. Access to reports is controlled at a role-based level in RevPro.

Run Reports

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All  to display all reports.
  3. Select a report to run and select filters.
  4. Click Run Report.

Copy Layout

A report must have a defined layout to display report data. The reports that are seeded in RevPro have pre-defined layouts. Copies of the seeded report layouts can be tailored based on your preferences. The originally seeded report layouts should not be edited.

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All  to display all reports.
  3. Select a report, right-click and select Edit Report.
  4. Select a report layout, right-click and select Copy.
  5. In the Copy Layout dialog, enter the values in the Layout Name and Layout Description fields. Click Copy. The newly created layout appears in the Layouts tab.

Edit Layout

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All  to display all reports.
  3. Select a report, right-click and select Edit Report.
  4. Select a report layout, right-click and select Edit.
  5. Enter the values in the following fields. Click Save to save the changes after editing.
    Field Name Description
    Layout Name Add a layout name
    Layout Description Add a layout description
    Enabled Select the Enabled check box to indicate layout is active
    Is Summary Select the Is Summary check box to indicate that this report should be further summarized by the selected dimensions
    Enable Totals Generate grand totals for the report

Add or Remove Fields of a Layout

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All    to display all reports.
  3. Select a report, right-click and select Edit Report.Edit_report.png
  4. Select a report layout, right-click and select Edit.edit_layout_2.png
  5. Select a field and click the arrow button to move it from Available Fields to Selected Fields. You can also use the arrow buttons to move up or move down the selected fields. The max number of the selected fields is 50. 
  6. Click Save to save the changes.

Create a Report Filter

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All  to display all reports.
  3. Select a report, right-click and select Edit Report.Edit_report.png
  4. Click the Fields tab and search for the field desired to use as a filter. Select the Filter Enabled check box.
  5. Click the Layouts tab, right-click the layout you want to add the filter and select Copy
  6. In the Copy Layout dialog, enter the values in the Layout Name and Layout Description fields. Click Copy.
  7. Click Run Report to run the report.

Add to Favorites or Remove from Favorites

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All  to display all reports.
  3. Select a report and the desired layout to add to favorites.
  4. Right-click the report and select Add to Favorites. Now you have added the report with the selected layout to My Favorites.
  5. To remove the report with the selected layout from My Favorites, select Remove From Favorites. Now you have removed the report with the selected layout from My Favorites.

Submit Download

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All  to display all reports.
  3. Select a report, right-click and select Submit Download
  4. The Download Reports window opens and displays the following tabs:
    Tab Name Description
    My Downloads Reports available for download
    Schedule Downloads Reports scheduled for download
    In-Progress Reports currently being downloaded
    Erroneous Submissions Reports that did not successfully complete
  5. Scroll right to locate the download link. Click Download to download the results of the report.

Schedule Reports

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Run Reports.
  2. Click Expand All  to display all reports.
  3. Select a report, right-click and select Schedule Reports
  4. In the Schedule Reports dialog, enter the values in the Resubmit Interval, Resubmit Code and Resubmit Type fields.
    Field Name Description
    Resubmit Interval Enter a time interval 
    Resubmit Code Enter a frequency
    Resubmit Type

    The scheduling of the report is dependent upon itself, select one of the following options:

    • From the start of the prior run
    • From the Completion of the prior run
  5. Click Save. Scheduled reports will appear in the In-Progress tab and be available in the Schedule Downloads tab upon completion.

Download Reports

To download reports, navigate to RevPro > Reports > Download Reports and the reports available for download appear in the My Downloads tab.

You can also click the following tabs:

  • Schedule Downloads: Displays reports scheduled for download
  • In-Progress: Displays reports currently being downloaded
  • Erroneous Submissions: Displays reports that did not successfully complete

Schedule Jobs

  1. Navigate to RevPro > Reports > Schedule Jobs.
  2. Click Schedule Job/Job Groups and click the Schedule Program tab. 
  3. Complete the following fields: 
    Field Name Description
    Schedule Job Group Select the Schedule Job Group check box to indicate you will schedule a job group.
    Program Name Select a program name.
    Start Date Enter a start date.
    End Date Enter an end date.
    Incompatible With All Select the Incompatible With All check box to indicate the scheduled job is incompatible with all.
    Resubmit Interval Enter a time interval.
    Resubmit Code Enter a frequency.
    Resubmit Type

    The scheduling of the report is dependent upon itself, choose one of the following options:

    • From the start of the prior run
    • From the Completion of the prior run
  4. Click the Program Parameters tab and review the parameters.

  5. Click Submit Job to submit the scheduled job.
