Schedule Data Transformation jobs

Zuora Billing - RevPro Integration is in Limited Availability

The Data Transformation program transforms the object data in Pre-Staging tables into transaction lines stored in Staging. You can customize Data Transformation job execution based on your business requirements in the RevPro UI.

  • Ensure that the Billing object data required to perform the transformation is already synchronized into Pre-Staging tables.
  • Ensure that the Data Transformation templates have been set up in RevPro. The following template definitions are required for Data Transformation:
    • ORDER - Always required. Charge level information will be transformed into sales order lines.
    • INVOICE - Always required. Zuora Billing invoice items will be transformed as invoices.
    • INVOICE_ITEM_ADJUSTMENTS - Required if Invoice Settlement is not enabled for your Zuora Billing tenant. It is used to transform invoice item adjustments in Zuora Billing.
    • CREDIT_MEMO - Required if you have Invoice Settlement enabled for your Zuora Billing tenant. It is used to transform credit memos in Zuora Billing.
    • DEBIT_MEMO - Required if you have Invoice Settlement enabled for your Zuora Billing tenant. It is used to transform debit memos in Zuora Billing.

Follow Upload transactions or costs to learn how to create a transaction or cost template. See Standard Field Mapping for details about how data is transformed by default for each transaction type.

Schedule a Data Transformation program

Take the following steps to start the Data Transformation program in RevPro:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Schedule Jobs.
  2. Create icon-add.png to create a new program.
  3. In the Schedule Program tab, complete the following configuration:
    1. Program Name: Select RevPro3.0 Zuora Data Transformation
    2. Start Date: Select the date from which the selected job starts to run. By default, the current date and time are populated.

Refer to Schedule Jobs to learn more about other optional settings. Note that for the Resubmit Type dropdown list, From the Completion of the prior run is recommended.

  4. In the Program Parameters tab, enter the values for the mandatory fields.
    • Source Transaction Type - Possible values include:
      • ORDER - The job applies the time range filter to the RatePlanCharge object for this transaction type.
      • INVOICE_ITEM - The job applies the time range filter to the InvoiceItem object for this transaction type.
      • INVOICE_ITEM_ADJUSTMENT - The job applies the time range filter to the InvoiceItemAdjustment object for this transaction type.
      • CREDIT_MEMO_ITEM - The job applies the time range filter to the CreditMemoItem object for this transaction type.
      • DEBIT_MEMO_ITEM - The job applies the time range filter to the DebitMemoItem object for this transaction type.
    • Template Name - The name of the created templates.
    • Query Filter - The filter condition used to filter the data from Pre-Staging. Both the table_name.field and Billing_object.field formats are supported. For example, if you want to filter the data for a particular subscription, you can enter = ""A-S00000026"" or Subscription.Name = ""A-S00000026""
    • Entity Name - This parameter is optional if your Zuora tenant is a single entity, and is mandatory if the Multi-entity feature is enabled in your Zuora tenant.
    • From Date - You must specify this parameter together with the Schedule Program tab information to schedule the program. The value for this parameter should be in the DD-MON-RRRR HH24:MI:SS format. The date represents the UTC time zone because all the Data Sync information is stored in UTC. Additionally, the value should align with the From Date for Data Sync.

Note that the end date is determined by the End Date setting of the scheduled Data Sync program based on the latest successful completion of the specific object sync.

  5. Click Submit Job. If the job is successfully submitted, it is displayed in the Schedule Jobs page.

After the jobs are complete, the status of the program is updated to Completed and the queried data is transformed into transaction lines in Staging.
