Zuora UI enhancements
Enhancements to restyled Profile & Settings menu
It is a continuous effort to redesign Zuora UI pages to use a new style, which provides a modern look and feel when you are interacting with the Zuora UI. In this release, we have made the following enhancements to the Profile & Settings menu:
- You can now open the Profile & Settings menu by clicking your user avatar. Previously, you could only open the Profile & Settings menu by clicking the arrow next to your user avatar. We have removed the arrow.
- The Profile & Settings menu now displays your user name. If your user name is truncated, you can now view the full user name by hovering over your user avatar or user name.
All pages in the new style in Sandbox environments will be deployed to Production environments no earlier than February 22, 2022.
Invoicing and Tax
Vertex Tax Connector app supports field mapping customization
You can now customize how to map a field from Vertex’s response to a field on Zuora’s Taxation Item object. With this ability, you can select and store the data that best suits your business needs, such as ensuring data consistency in reporting.
To enable this feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support.
Zuora Collect has only internal enhancements and resolved issues in this release.
Zuora Central Platform
Events and Notifications
Event parameters added to notification creation page for custom events
The Event Parameters section is now displayed on the notification configuration page when you create notifications for custom events through the Zuora UI. This enhancement allows you to configure the filter criteria based on which the notification will be sent. Previously, you could not configure event parameter filters when creating notifications for custom events in the UI.
Note that the Event Parameters section is displayed on the notification creation page for only newly created notifications. It is not added to the configuration page for previously configured notifications to avoid confusion.
Subscription data source merge fields available to use when base object of custom event is Amendment
You can now use Subscription data source merge fields in email templates or callout parameters when the associated custom event is created based on the Amendment object. The fields of the following objects are available for use in the Subscription data source:
- Bill To
- Sold To
- Default Payment Method
- Parent Account
- Subscription Version Amendment
Note that these merge fields are rendered for only amendment completed events.
Retrieve a workflow run API operation no longer supports returning message field
The "Retrieve a workflow run" API operation no longer returns the message field in the response body for all environments. This enhancement helps avoid issues caused by oversized data stored in this field.
Note that this enhancement currently only applies to non-Production environments. It will be rolled out to Production in a future release.
