Behavior Changes in Retrieving Product Catalog Information through REST API

To improve the performance of the “Get catalog” operation, a URL is now returned instead of product rate plan details as part of the response. See API Changelog for more details about the updates to the REST API operation.

This feature is only available for new tenants starting from Zuora Release 228 (R228), July 2018. Zuora recommends that you use the latest behavior to retrieve invoice information. If you wish to have access to the feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support asking for invoice item and file references to be enabled in the REST API.

Behavior Changes in Retrieving Invoice Information by Account through REST API

To improve the performance of the “Get invoices” operation, URLs are now returned instead of invoice item details and invoice file details as part of the response. See API Changelog for more details about the updates to the REST API operation.

Advanced AR Settlement Renamed to Invoice Settlement

The Invoice Settlement feature is generally available as of Zuora Billing Release 296 (March 2021). This feature includes Unapplied Payments, Credit and Debit Memos, and Invoice Item Settlement. If you want to have access to the feature, see Invoice Settlement Enablement and Checklist Guide for more information. After Invoice Settlement is enabled, the Invoice Item Adjustment feature will be deprecated for your tenant.

The Advanced AR Settlement feature is now called Invoice Settlement to improve public awareness and understanding of the feature. The feature name has been updated to all related articles in the Knowledge Center and to the API Reference in the Developer Center.

Support for Controlling Billing Documents Generation in Microsoft Word

A new Billing user permission called "Generate MS Word Document" is added to control whether to generate billing documents in Microsoft Word. Billing documents include invoices, credit memos, and debit memos. By default, you can generate billing documents in Microsoft Word.

See Billing Permissions for more information.
