Zuora Billing
Invoicing and Tax
Default revenue accounting codes automatically populated on standalone invoices
This enhancement is available only if you have Billing - Revenue Integration enabled.
For Billing data to be successfully synced and consumed by Zuora Revenue, accounting codes are required on billing documents, such as invoices, credit memos, or debit memos. Otherwise, Zuora Revenue cannot create correct accounting entries based on these billing documents.
With this enhancement, you can configure the default accounting codes for each revenue account type in Zuora Billing UI. Then, if any billing document does not have accounting codes specified, the system will use these default values for Billing - Revenue Integration. For example, when you create a standalone invoice, if you add an ad-hoc charge or add an existing charge from the product catalog without specifying revenue accounting codes, the default accounting codes will be automatically populated to ensure that data synced from Zuora Billing to Zuora Revenue is complete.
For information about how to configure the default accounting codes, see Revenue Accounts.
