Manage Product Features in a Quote

This article describes how to manage features in a product when you create or edit a quote in Zuora Quotes.

To create features in the product catalog and use them in subscriptions and Zuora Quotes, you need to enable the following:

The Entitlements setting in your tenant.
Access to the Entitlements feature requires a specific edition of Zuora. See Zuora Editions for details.
The Enable Feature Specification in Product and Subscriptions setting in the Billing Settings.

Additionally, to be able to add, remove, or edit a feature in subscriptions and amendments, you need to enable:

After you make any changes to your product features in a quote as described in this article, you save your changes.

To save feature changes in the product selector:

Be sure that a rate plan has been selected for the product. Without a rate plan selected for the product, your changes to the product features will not be saved.
Click Save or Next.

To add features in the product selector:

Create a quote or open a quote that has not been sent to Zuora.
On the Choose Product and Charges page, add a product or select an existing product.
Click Add Features.
Select one or more features and click Add.

To remove a feature in the product selector:

Create a quote or open a quote that has not been sent to Zuora.
On the Choose Product and Charges page, add a product or select an existing product.
Click Del next to the feature you want to remove.
Click OK to confirm.

To edit the feature description in the product selector:

Create a quote or open a quote that has not been sent to Zuora.
On the Choose Product and Charges page, click the Description field for the feature you want to edit.
Type in your text and press TAB to exit out of the field.

If a feature is configured with a custom field set to support additional attributes, you can set or edit the attribute values for the feature in the product selector.

To edit feature attributes in the product selector:

Create a quote or open a quote that has not been sent to Zuora.
On the Choose Product and Charges page, add a product or select an existing product.
Click + in the Additional Attributes column of the feature you want to edit.
Edit the attribute field value.
