Delivery Pricing charge model

The Delivery Pricing charge model is now available to be selected in product rate plan charges. The charge model uses a single list price per delivery and delivery schedule to determine a total charge price per billing period. The charge model is used to bill end customers in advance for a subscription that includes goods delivered on a recurring basis.

To enable the Delivery Pricing charge model, submit a request at Zuora Global Support and check Delivery Pricing in Billing Settings > Enable Charge Types / Models.

  • The Delivery Pricing charge model is in the Early Adopter phase. We are actively soliciting feedback from a small set of early adopters before releasing it as generally available. If you want to join this early adopter program, submit a request at Zuora Global Support.
  • The Delivery Pricing charge model is available only in tenants with Orders or Orders Harmonization enabled.

Offers

Today, the only way to sell multiple charges together is using the rate plan object. To provide the flexibility and capability of temporarily and easily grouping charges and rate plans together without duplicating those objects, we are pleased to introduce a new feature called Offers. Use this feature to create an offer that has one or many product rate plans and charges defined with different prices across different geographic regions, sales areas, or customers based on your business needs.

For more information, see Offers.

  • The Offers feature is in the Early Adopter phase. We are actively soliciting feedback from a small set of early adopters before releasing it as generally available. If you want to join this early adopter program, submit a request at Zuora Global Support.

  • The Offers feature is available only in tenants with Orders or Orders Harmonization enabled.

In a recurring product rate plan charge, you can define only one fixed price. To provide the flexibility of defining multiple prices for a recurring charge without duplicating product rate plans and product rate plan charges, we are pleased to introduce a new feature called Price Book Items.

Price Book Item is a new object to support the scenario when multiple prices need to be defined in one charge. For each recurring charge, you can define as many price book items as needed. Each price book item can be configured with up to 50 custom attributes, which are used to distinguish different prices for each charge. Examples of commonly used attributes include billing frequency, sales organization, region, or customer group. Additionally, prices can be defined to automatically change throughout the life of the charge by using a new feature called Interval Pricing. Instead of a single price billed for that charge after it is added to a subscription, the price can automatically increase and/or decrease within certain predefined time periods. After a customer is subscribed to a charge with interval pricing, the customer will be charged according to the price book items that are defined for charges in the product offer. Price book items and interval pricing are available for one-time, recurring, and usage charges for flat fee, per unit, volume, and tiered charge models.

The Price Book Items feature is in the Early Adopter phase. We are actively soliciting feedback from a small set of early adopters before releasing it as generally available. If you want to join this early adopter program, submit a request at Zuora Global Support.
