This article offers guidance on how to integrate Appstore Connector v2 with your Zuora site.

This feature is in the Early Adopter phase. We are actively soliciting feedback from a small set of early adopters before releasing it to all customers. To join this early adopter program, submit a request at Zuora Global Support.

Zuora's App Store Connector delivers a simple and intuitive interface to configure the Apple and Google connector apps with your Zuora site. This solution provides you with the following benefits:

Consolidate subscription data across platforms:  Zuora provides a centralized view of all the events within your tenant and the ability to manage the app store in your dashboard.

Sync and update in-app data with events: View failed transactions in the dashboard and retry them in a single click leaving behind the process of manual triaging.

All-inclusive data management: Analyzing platforms becomes troublesome due to the unorganized data across platforms. With the self-service UI, you can quickly configure and set up an app store connector by retrying complex events and improving efficiency.

Considerations

Before implementing the Subscription Event Gateway, it’s important to consider the following list.

  • Subscription management is prioritized over new customer acquisition events due to the potential need for unique procurement and provisioning processes (Google: SUBSCRIPTION_PURCHASED, Apple: INITIAL_BUY).

  • The Payment Type ‘other’ is assigned to all payments.

  • Zuora applies a pre-determined grace period of 16 days for Apple and 30 days for Google to all subscription events. After the grace period, Zuora invalidates invoices and terminates the subscription.

  • The following media product features are not currently supported by Zuora.

    • Trials
    • Bundles
    • Promo Codes
    • Consumables

  • Zuora requires Orders Harmonization to be enabled for standard subscribe and amend actions.

  • Zuora supports these Apple Events as pass-through notifications solely:

    • CONSUMPTION_REQUEST
    • INTERACTIVE_RENEWAL
    • PRICE_INCREASE_CONSENT

  • The App store Connector apps do not support discounts in subscriptions.

Configuration

To manage app store configurations or events for your connector app, log in to your Zuora tenant, click the drop-down next to your username, and select Billing > App Store Connector.
