Workflow tasks are building blocks of workflows. A task receives data from the preceding task, performs actions predefined by the workflow creator, and optionally triggers the following task. 

You add a task by click task_add_icon.png on an existing task on the editing page of a workflow. See Edit a Workflow to learn about how to edit a workflow.
