Before using the Data Loader, ensure that you understand and meet the following prerequisites :

  • Users will be able to perform import, delete, and update if they have the required user-based permissions for these actions. For example, a user who is trying to create accounting periods will be able to do so if the “Create Accounting Period” permission is enabled at the user level under Finance.

  • Access to Data Loader is available to all the Admin users by default. 

  • Standard users can access the feature by enabling the Data Loader permission through custom roles. See Platform roles.

  • Please enable the required tenant-level and user-level permissions before initiating a data migration job.
