Create a quote with Multi-Org in Multi Subscription Quoting

As a Salesforce user with access to multiple orgs, you can create a New Quote with an existing or new billing account. When creating a new billing account, you can define which Zuora Org Unit the Account belongs to. 

Prerequisites

Ensure that your Salesforce Administrator has completed the prerequisites to use the Multi-Org feature. See Prerequisites.

Procedure

  1. In your Salesforce org, navigate to the Account Detail page of an Account or the Opportunity Detail page of an Opportunity.
  2. Click the New Quote (New) button.
    A list of orgs that you have access to from the associated Zuora tenant is displayed.
  3. On the Required Inputs Prior to Quote Creation screen, search for the organization or select from the org list and click Next.
    • You will only see the Org name column in the list by default. You can add additional columns to the table by adding the fields to the Multi-Organization Display Fields (Zuora__Multi_Org_Display_Fields) field set in the Zuora Organization (Zuora__Organization__c) object. 
    • Salesforce allows filtering of records only for text fields. You can search only for text fields.
  4. Select the number of subscriptions.
    • This option is available only when Multi Subscription Quoting is enabled in the Salesforce org and one or more subscriptions were created with the selected org and billing account. 
    • When you select the Single Subscription option, the Multi Org for Single Subscription Quoting flow is triggered. See Create a quote with Multi-Org.
  5. Select Active Subscription or Pending Subscriptions.
    These options are available only when the following conditions are met:
    • Active or pending subscription settings are enabled in your Salesforce org and Zuora tenant.
    • The selected org does not have any subscriptions associated with it.
    • When you select Single Subscription option.

      After completing steps 3 and 4, the following conditions determine the next step in the quoting process:

      Selected org and account have no existing billing account  You are redirected to the New Subscription section on the Quote Studio page.
      Selected org and billing account have one or more subscriptions created You are redirected to the Select a Billing Account and Select a Subscription section on the Quote Studio page
  6. Based on the result of steps 3 and 4, perform the following step:
    • If the selected org and account have no existing billing account, configure Quote information and submit the configuration upon completion. For instructions, see Configure Quote information on the Quote Studio page.
      • The Bill to Contact and Sold to Contact fields show only the invoice owner of the selected org.
      • When you select Existing from the Subscription Owner Type dropdown, all the accounts associated with the selected org are shown.
      • When you select New from the Subscription Owner Type dropdown, you can create a new billing account. This account is associated with the selected org after the Quote is sent to Zuora.
    • If the selected org and billing account have one or more subscriptions created, amend or renew the Quote based on your business requirements using the Amend or Renew icon. For instructions, see Configure Quote information on the Quote Studio page.
      • When you select a New Billing Account in the Amend or Renew quote, you are redirected to the New Subscription section on the Quote Studio page.
      • When you select New Quote in the Amend or Renew Quote, you are redirected to the org selection window.
