Sequence charges within a Quote Rate Plan

Starting with Quotes version 10.45, the setting Define how Charges should be sequenced within their Rate Plans when added to a Quote is available to define the sequence in which charges are displayed within a Quote Rate Plan in Quote Studio.

The setting is added to align with the charge sequencing in legacy CPQ.

To enable the setting:

Navigate to Zuora Config > Quote Studio Settings > Admin Config.

Select the required option from the Define how Charges should be sequenced within their Rate Plans when added to a Quote field.

Sort charges within a Rate Plan in alphabetical order by charge type, then charge name, and group discounts below all other charge types in alphabetical order (Default)	When you select this option, the charges within a rate plan are sequenced alphabetically, first by Charge Type (One-Time, Recurring, Usage) and then by Charge Name (Product Rate Plan Charge Full Name). Discount charges are grouped below all other charges and sequenced alphabetically by Charge Name. This is the default option. The Enable Nested Discount Rows setting does not impact this setting.
Sort all charges within a Rate Plan alphabetically (Legacy)	When you select this option, the charges within a rate plan are sequenced alphabetically by Charge Name. If Enable Nested Discount Rows is enabled, the charges within a rate plan are still sequenced alphabetically by Charge Name, but Discount charges are grouped below all other charges and sequenced alphabetically by Charge Name.

When you select this option, the charges within a rate plan are sequenced alphabetically by Charge Name.

If Enable Nested Discount Rows is enabled, the charges within a rate plan are still sequenced alphabetically by Charge Name, but Discount charges are grouped below all other charges and sequenced alphabetically by Charge Name.

If you change the settings to a different charge sequencing and do not see the expected results, clear your browser cache and try again before contacting Zuora Support.
