Add Your States
For this example, we add three states to the user state map canvas as follows:
- Engaged
We define engaged end users as those who view five or more pages of content each day. To do this, complete the following steps:
- Drag the New State node to the user state map canvas, on the same side as the Registered state
The Add a New State dialog box displays.
- Enter Engaged in the Title text box
- Enter View 5 or more pages a day in the Description text box
- Select the Add button
- Drag the New State node to the user state map canvas, on the same side as the Registered state
- VIP
We define VIP end users as those who view ten or more pages of content each day and have a Gold subscription. To do this, complete the following steps:
- Drag the New State node to the user state map canvas, on the same side as the Registered state
The Add a New State dialog box displays.
- Enter VIP in the Title text box
- Enter View 10 or more pages a day and have a Gold subscription in the Description text box
- Select the Add button
- Drag the New State node to the user state map canvas, on the same side as the Registered state
- Lapsed
We define Lapsed end users as those who have not viewed any content in the last week. To do this, complete the following steps:
- Drag the New State node to the user state map canvas, on the same side as the Registered state
The Add a New State dialog box displays.
- Enter Lapsed in the Title text box
- Enter No views in last week in the Description text box
- Select the Add button
- Drag the New State node to the user state map canvas, on the same side as the Registered state
Note: You cannot save the User State Map until you have added transitions.
